Fuchsias - 3

Same variety, but two different colors :)

These all upside-down flowers were there at the Mystery Spot's small open-to-air waiting lounge :D... really good ones... :) There are a few more to come... These are Fuchsias (Scientific Name: Fuchsia regia). The usual ones are red and purple, but the hybrid ones have more variety of colors. Good-looking, low maintenance and do attract hummingbirds. :). As usual, the information comes from my GF :) Thanks dear.

Symmetry

Nature can make wonders! Just look at this one... symmetric... 3 petals and 3 leaves... nicely arranged. I found this one in the RedWood forests.

BTW, these are Painted Trillium (Scientific Name: Trillium undulatum)

Clouds over the city

While travelling from Oakland to San Diego, I saw these clouds. I don't know which city this is below, but the clouds look good. :D

Nesting Flamingoes

Have you ever seen Flamingoes' nests? I saw them for the first time and was surprised to know that they are built on the ground like a heap of soil!!!

Black flowers, huh!!! These are Zwartkop (Scientific Name: Aeonium arboreum 'Zwartkop')

Coral Tree

After a long time, I have again started posting on my blog. I'd been to a lot of places in this time when my parents were here in town. I had a lot of fun. There would be quite a few good snaps. So, keep checking back... :). I saw these flowers at the Sea-World.. and most of the posts hereon will have snaps of flowers from the Sea-World...

Heart-shaped leaves or petals?

Are these heart-shaped leaves or petals?

:)) These are neither leaves nor petals... these are pods or fruits of this plant... This plant is called Shepherd's purse (Scientific Name: Capsella bursa-pastoris)... thanks to my genius :)

This one is so small that it could fit completely on the tip of your thumb. This one and the earlier post are the same flowers and these weeds are commly known as Redstem Filaree (Scientific Name: Erodium cicutarium) Thanks for the info dear :)

This is Judas Tree (Scientific Name: Cercis siliquastrum) also known as redbud tree. And as usual, my genius GF has given me this information :)

Greater Periwinkle - 2

This and the previous flowers are both from the same plant, but still look so different. This is Greater Periwinkle / Larger Periwinkle (Scientific Name: Vinca Major)
